Expert Advice on Commercial Inspections

What is CCPIA?

CCPIA stands for Certified Commercial Properties Inspectors Association

CCPIA is 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization and federally tax-exempt membership trade association for commercial real estate inspectors. CCPIA provides online training and resources to help its members become even better commercial inspectors. CCPIA provides up-to-date industry news, online classes and workshops, marketing and business tools, and a member’s directory for consumer and professional use. Members are from across North America and they all adhere to the International Standards of Practice for Inspecting Commercial Properties (ComSOP).

Inspectors who are CCPIA members have access to an immense amount of learning materials to help them develop and improve their business and practices, as well as keep up to date on changes in the industry and the evolving needs of clients. The ComSOP means that all CCPIA inspectors have a baseline of common ethical practices and procedures and training that clients can feel comfortable with.

CCPIA is affiliated with the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI), a leading training and certification association for home inspectors. CCPIA is InterNACHI’s program aimed solely at commercial inspections. InterNACHI offers the InterNACHI Certificate Program and the InterNACHI School, which is the only home inspection college accredited by the U.S Department of Education. Inspectors who are certified through InterNACHI and/or CCPIA undergo rigorous and comprehensive training that often exceeds what is typically required of home and commercial inspectors.
